References and Notes

1. Photocopy of Mary Margaret Cumming's baptismal record, Church of the Advent, Brownsville, Texas.

Mamie's baptismal record says that she was born in Matamoros, Mexico.

Matamoros is directly across the Rio Grande from Brownsville and it was apparently common to give birth there as there were more and better doctors.
